Below is an example of what we should be telling every client getting their buck scored
We are scoring this past seasons bucks all spring and summer at different scoring events. The club gives us, as scorers, until the end of October to have all our score sheets turned in from the past hunting season. Once they are all turned in, the secretary will go through each and every one and re add everything and make sure that each score sheet is complete with all the information. The first item you will receive from the club is a post card of congratulations. This card will let you know that all your information is correct. Most people receive this card in November or December. Then in January, you will receive your invitation to the banquet that is held in February. Once you receive your invitation, get on the website and order your tickets. At the banquet, you will receive your certificate for your trophy buck and at that time you are an official member of the club. Then sometime in April, your name will appear in the on line record book.
We also have two facebook pages. One is just a general page for the public and the other is a closed group just for our scorers. So get on and check them out. One is just call Buckeye Big Buck Club and the other is Buckeye Big Buck Club Scorers. Make sure you join those pages. If you are a scorer, you will have to be invited, but let us know and we can invite you.
Just a reminder of the cut off date for score sheets. Cut off is always by October 31st. Please mail your score sheets no later than that date please. Thank you.

PRICE INCREASE TO ENTER A DEER For deer taken in the 2011/2012 season, and ALLdeer scored from there on, the price to enter them into the club is now $30.00 $25 of it is the entry fee and $5 is the yearly membership fee. If you are entering two deer IN THE SAME YEAR, then of course the membership fee is only paid once, so therefore the first deer is $30 and the second deer is $25 entered in the same year. This is a $5 increase from what we have been doing.
If they already paid their membership fee for the year, then the fee is just $25.00 If they are a paid LIFETIME MEMBER, all deer entered are free.
SCORE SHEET ISSUES
We have had A LOT of issues where the member has not been given a copy of their score sheet when you score their deer. YOU HAVE TO make a copy for them. If you do not give them a copy there is no way for them to ever get one. If you do not own a copy machine, then you must hand write one for them. It is not cost efficient for the secretary to make copies and mail out 700 copies to our new members each year. The easiest and most efficient way to get them to the member is to give it to them while they are at your side.
The other issue with score sheets is when they make the club but choose not to enter him at the time he is scored. What has happened is they email me from the web site and can't remember who scored their deer but they know he made the club requirements and want to now enter him. Well, no one has a record of that deer being scored except the scorer and if we don't know who that is, then we don't know what to tell them. They can't have the deer re scored. So give them a copy of the score sheet with your name on it and write COPY in bold letters in permanent marker all the way across it. Then they have your name and a score to go by. This will help a lot.
Most of the issues happen at the Deer and Turkey expo in Columbus. The copy machine is supplied for you so please do not let anyone leave without a copy of their score sheet with the scorers name on the sheet.
